On this hot and humid Sunday we made much progress on our flooring project. The bedroom was completed earlier this week and the office is going to recompleted in about 30 mins. After numerous pounds of concrete and adding more and more, it seems
to be enough to level the floor for the wood to be re-installed and call this room DONE!!!

While the bedroom and office area were torn apart, some assemblance of living was still able to be done in the living room. NOT ANYMORE!!!

Mass Chaos has reached ever hightened limits in the living room and dining room. Except for 2 small sections of carpeting in these areas all of the concrete floor below has been exposed for all to see. May I say it looks most lovely compared to the office area which consumed mass amounts of concrete.

Along with the carpeting and the worn to a pounder foam padding, most of the base boards have been ripped out of the wall and floor concrete. Who in the world concretes a floor with base boards already installed. Do you know what a pain the ass it is to remove base boards which are under half an inch of concrete? It isn’t pleasant on a 95 degree day.

Anyway, I am pleased at our progess today and look forward to the next few days in wrapping the flooring up. Then it’s onto BASE BOARDS!! YIPPPEEEEEE!!

I know your asking yourself, Self I want to see pictures of what’s happening with the flooring. We’ll if I could find my card reader for my camera I would post some pics. I am thankful, that today my computer and I have returned to our desk in it’s great new location, for better blogging. Now it’s a matter of unpacking the boxes of bedroom and office items and putting that part of life back together.

So in other words – Stay tuned for pics of the remodel.

Progress is being made on our floor replacement project. The tan/beige carpeting, commonly used it seems in every apt./condo/new home construction, is being ripped up bit by bit exposing a new dilema – is the concrete underneath level? Of course it isn’t. That would be too easy. So we need to add concrete to make it all nice and even for the new floor. All in all, with eveything else going on in our lives the project is progressing. Isn’t that what summer is all about. Making changes and improving one’s surroundings. Ok, hitting the beach is there too, even though we haven’t made it there yet this year. But there’s time, if you ask me Sept. & Oct. are the best times at the beach. More on this upcoming.
